Roof Replacements

Roof Replacements in Warkworth and Rodney

A tired or leaking roof is more than an eyesore. In Rodney's coastal climate it can quickly become a risk to framing, insulation and interior finishes. We replace ageing and damaged roofs with durable, warranty backed systems chosen for local wind zones and salt air.

When to replace rather than repair

Repairs are great when a roof has isolated issues. Replacement is smarter when problems are widespread, repeated, or due to end of life materials: persistent leaks in several places, widespread corrosion, brittle or cracked tiles, or frequent fastener failure.

A new roof is also the time to upgrade underlay, fixings, flashings and ventilation, and on coastal or exposed sites to specify higher grade substrates and fasteners.

HOW WE WORK

Our roof replacement process

  1. 1. Assessment and options

A site visit and plain English advice on whether replacement is justified and which systems suit your home and location.

  2. 2. Itemised quote

Materials, profile, underlay, flashings, fixings, safety, waste handling and programme timing, with any recommended upgrades listed as options.

  3. 3. Pre start and protection

We schedule around weather, install edge protection or scaffolding, and protect gardens, paths and driveways before removal begins.

  4. 4. Careful removal

Old sheets or tiles are removed in sections to maintain temporary weather protection, and damaged purlins or battens are replaced.

  5. 5. Installation done right

Your new roof is installed to manufacturer instructions and New Zealand Building Code requirements, with fixings and patterns for your wind zone.

  6. 6. QA, handover and warranties

A quality checklist, a magnetic nail sweep and a walk through the finished work. You receive workmanship warranty, product warranties and care guidance.

WHAT WE INSTALL

Roofing Systems We Replace and Recommend

Longrun metal roofing

Lightweight, fast to install and excellent for complex roof geometries, with coatings and fasteners matched to marine exposure.

Concrete and clay tiles

Like for like where tiles suit the architecture, with underlay, fixings and valleys upgraded at the same time.

Membrane and low pitch areas

Compatible membrane systems for flat roofs and internal gutters, with outlets, overflows and edge terminations done properly.

We will tell you whether your re-roof needs a building consent and, if it does, coordinate with council. General guidance is on the MBIE Building Performance site.
